Innovation is what drives entrepreneurial progress and change. Change calls for new ideas and outlooks. So why not get young people who are just setting out on their working life and approach things with a fresh, creative perspective involved? Apprentices are full of drive and want to play an active role in making a difference – yet they are seldom involved in innovation projects, especially in small and medium-sized companies (SMEs).
With the support of the Migros Pioneer Fund, the 1001sme support network would like to actively involve apprentices at SMEs in their companies' innovation and digitalization projects. To do this, 1001sme supports professionals in-training with a customized training program aimed at building and expanding the necessary skills.
Participants in the multi-stage program will get to know new digital technologies, as well as innovation methods such as design thinking. Lessons learned can be applied in practical terms to their own companies, as well as to company-wide and cross-sector projects.
In this way, 1001sme is not only helping to make training practices more sustainable, but is also promoting capacity for innovation, networking and collaboration within Swiss SMEs.
