Lost-and-Found Office for Memories

New project
Museums & the Public

The three-year model project of the Swiss Alpine Museum Bern is breaking new ground. The Lost-and-Found Office for Memories invites the population to contribute their stories, memories and personal objects to the collection. In this way, the museum is opening up to everyday experts, offering new ways to approach the collection in the exhibition space in Bern. Subjects close to everyday life invite visitors to interact with the exhibits. The Lost-and-Found Office for memories is also available online, enabling those interested to contribute to the collection project from elsewhere. During its run, this pioneering project, which is significantly supported by the Migros Pioneer Fund, will continue in collaboration with museums from the mountain regions, thereby establishing a lively network with a wide reach.
